New Hope Centre set to open in September

,

Hope Centre in Sooke is nearing completion! When done it will house 25 youth experiencing or at-risk of homelessness.

A new affordable housing unit is set to open this September in Sooke. The Hope Centre is located at 6750 West Coast Road, where the old St. Vincent de Paul Society thrift store used to sit. The 25-unit building of one-bedroom and bachelor suites will house people aged 19-32 making under $40,000 a year who have struggled with homelessness. If there are two people living in a suite, they cannot collectively make over $40,000 a year.
