Victoria’s unemployment rate improves

Victoria’s unemployment rate has seen a decrease in the last month.

Greater Victoria’s unemployment rate inched down to 5.4 per cent in November as the number of people working climbed by 700 from the previous month. Statistics Canada said year-to-date the total number of people working has increased by 7,000 compared with November 2011, when the region’s unemployment rate was 6.1 per cent.
