Please join us for the free annual Recovery Christmas Dinner held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in The Kirk Hall (680 Courtney St. Entrance ) on Christmas Day between noon and 2:00.
Christmas Dinner Mission Statement:
Since 2011, the recovery community has provided a meal each year on Christmas Day in Victoria’s downtown core. We strive to provide a safe and caring atmosphere where we can serve the homeless, the hungry, and the marginalized a full Christmas meal. We also spread some seasonal cheer by providing much needed items to our guests such as socks, gloves, and toiletries.
The dinner feeds around 400 people each year, and is supported mostly by the recovery community. They volunteer their time in planning and hosting the event, as well as donating funds to purchase most of the food and supplies needed. We also rely on the generous support of local businesses to help provide services, supplies, and products to fill this need.
Any support provided goes directly and immediately to Victoria’s population in need, and is very much appreciated by them, and by our supporters and volunteers.With gratitude in advance,
