There’s growing concern over the sudden shutdown of outreach services at Vancouver Island’s largest food bank. The Mustard Seed says it had no choice but to temporarily halt emergency outreach services due to ‘significant safety concerns’ and resources being spread too thin. And as Tess van Straaten tells us, it’s part of a much bigger problem in our community.
