Single parents and supporters concerned by high rates of child poverty in BC push for Child Support Clawback Policy to be repealed.
BC Social Development Minister Don McRae says public consultation will begin December 10th to examine the Child Support Claw-back Policy. Currently, single parents on social assistance who receive child support payments must deduct the amount, dollar for dollar, from their monthly government cheques.
