Project ReConnect 2024

Project ReConnect 2024 is shaping up to be a day of shared conversation, learning, fellowship, food, and entertainment!

The Downtown Service Providers (DSP) Committee is bringing back Project Reconnect (formerly known as Project Connect) in October 2024.

This year, Project Reconnect will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2024, with service providers stretching across two blocks of Pandora Ave, from the CoolAid Downtown Community Centre (755 Pandora Ave.) to the Central Baptist Church (833 Pandora Ave).

For many years, the DSP Committee has organized this annual service fair that provides community members experiencing homelessness and poverty, with access to free services, resources, and referrals. This event is generously sponsored by the United Way of Southern Vancouver Island (UWSVI) and the UWSI Labour Council.

Project Reconnect brings together service providers to provide services including medical care, ID replacement, haircuts, foot care, veterinary help, and much more. Each of the estimated 200-300 people who attend Project Reconnect will receive their “care pack” – filled with essential items including socks and gloves, personal hygiene items, and other necessities.
