To empower vulnerable youth with the skills and resilience they need to graduate high school, build healthy relationships, navigate the challenges of young adulthood, and achieve success – however they define it.

Take a Hike Outdoor Education | Integrates academics with therapy, outdoor adventure-based learning, and community involvement. Program staff include a full-time registered clinical counsellor who supports students to build social and emotional skills, and improve mental health and well-being. Aim is to help youth who have experienced difficulty in the mainstream system to succeed socially and academically, leading to high school graduation. Operates on a semester basis from September to January, and February to June. Accepts referrals from counsellors, youth and family workers, school administrators, or parent/guardians. Based in the Saanich School District 63. |
