Individual and Group Psychotherapy
Organization: University of Victoria Psychology Clinic
Program Description
We offer psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families with the goal of assisting individuals to gain greater insight into their problems, cope more effectively with personal stresses and interpersonal conflicts, and achieve behavioural goals. We strive to provide empirically-supported interventions whenever possible. Typically, therapy services are offered from 8-12 weekly sessions that are 50 minutes in duration. Most psychotherapy services are offered in the form of individual therapy, however, group psychotherapy may be offered depending on the frequency of referrals for particular problems and availability of supervisors. Common concerns we see in the clinic include anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, OCD, perfectionism, and many more.
