Premier Clark’s changes to BC’s income and disability assistance programs.
Premier Christy Clark made changes to the province’s income and disability assistance programs Monday, loosening some rules but also tightening job-search requirements. Clark and Social Development Minister Stephanie Cadieux lifted some restrictions on income earned on top of government assistance, extended coverage to some non-residents fleeing abuse and boosted a supplement to help low-income parents pay back-to-school costs.
